Project Overview

Moore Construction delivered retaining wall construction works for the Arrowtown Stage 5 townhouse precinct, supporting the development of a high-quality residential community.

The project involved the installation of 135 metres of UC retaining wall, providing a durable and structurally robust solution to enable safe and efficient site development.

Planning & Site Management

Strong emphasis was placed on planning, safety, and communication from project inception. A comprehensive Construction Management Plan and Site-Specific Safety Plan guided all works, ensuring safe and controlled delivery.

Advanced survey and service detection technologies were used to accurately locate underground utilities and establish precise set-out points prior to construction.

Construction Delivery

Construction involved the installation of cast-in steel UC piles using a Tescar C3 drilling rig. Concrete was placed within 24 hours of drilling to maintain structural integrity and minimise risk.

Timber lagging was installed progressively between piles, with integrated drainage systems and engineered backfill to ensure long-term wall performance.

Completion & Outcome

On completion, the site was fully reinstated, including compaction, levelling, and removal of temporary works, preparing the area for subsequent development stages.

The completed retaining system provides a safe, durable foundation that supports the long-term success of the Arrowtown residential development.
