Life style village – Arrow town

As part of the Arrowtown Stage 5 development, Moore Construction successfully delivered 135 metres of new UC retaining wall for the client Envision Eighty 20, providing a safe, durable, and high-quality solution for the community.

From the outset, we placed strong emphasis on planning, safety, and communication. A comprehensive Construction Management Plan and Site-Specific Safety Plan were developed to guide performance and ensure the highest safety standards.

Our team utilised advanced technology to locate underground services, establish accurate survey set-out points, and create a secure working environment. With all materials — including steel, concrete, and timber — sourced from trusted suppliers, we were able to maintain efficiency and quality from start to finish.

Construction involved the installation of cast-in steel UC piles using a Tescar C3 drilling rig, with concrete placed within 24 hours to ensure stability. Timber lagging was installed in stages, with integrated drainage and compacted backfill to guarantee long-term performance. Site establishment also included erosion controls, vegetation clearance, and careful allocation of specialist plant and equipment.

On completion, the site was fully reinstated — levelled, compacted, and cleared — ready for handover. The result is a robust retaining wall that showcases our commitment to innovation, quality workmanship, and strong community outcomes.
